From Paganini to Penguins: An Emergency Medicine Doctor's Travels with the BSO and Beyond.
Robert Partridge, MD, MPH, FACEP, is an emergency medicine physician at Emerson Hospital in Concord, and an Adjunct Associate Professor of Emergency Medicine at the Warren Alpert Medical School at Brown University in Providence, Rhode Island. A specialist in international health, Dr. Partridge has more than 20 years of experience working and teaching in the developing world. He has directed disaster preparedness and relief operations in the Pacific region for FEMA and has served as a consultant on a wide variety of projects in international health. He currently serves as the tour physician for the Boston Symphony Orchestra, and is an expedition cruise physician in Antarctica. Among other positions, Dr. Partridge has served as the Director of International Emergency Medicine and Co-Director of Injury Prevention at Brown University. Drawing from his extensive experience practicing emergency medicine in both academic and clinical settings, he has written more than 40 original articles and numerous book chapters. His most recent book, “Disaster Medicine” was published by the Oxford University Press. Dr. Partridge received his medical degree at Tufts University School of Medicine and his Master's in Public Health from Harvard University. His is a Fellow of the American College of Emergency Physicians and serves as an examiner for the American Board of Emergency Medicine.
