R MUSIC CONCERT
PERFORMED BY THE WELLESLEY CHAMBER PLAYERS. NOT ONLY WILL YOU ENJOY A PERFORMANCE BY THESE INTERNATIONALLY ACCLAIMED MUSICIANS, BUT SOCIALIZING WITH THE MUSICIANS AND FELLOW MEMBERS WILL FOLLOW THE PERFORMANCE.



Program: Beethoven Trio in E flat major, Op. 70, No. 2
Brahms Trio No. 1 in B major, Op. 9

Musicians:
Jayoung Kim - Praised by Menahem Pressler and Paul Badura-Skoda for her impeccable technique and artistic playing, Korean pianist, Jayoung has established herself as a soloist, chamber musician and collaborative pianist in Asia, Europe and North America. Jayoung studied at Yonsei University in Korea, receiving her doctorate in piano at
Indiana University. Apart from orchestrating Wellesley Chamber Players concerts, Jayoung teaches at Dana Hall School of Music and is a staff pianist at New England Conservatory and Boston University.

Korean cellist Jiyoung Lee is known for her passionate interpretations, musical depth and sensitive performances. As a soloist, her performance credits include such orchestras as Korea’s Seoul Symphony Orchestra, New York’s Hudson Valley Philharmonic and New Jersey’s Bergen Philharmonic. Ms. Lee has earned many awards and honors and her recent solo performances include appearing at Lincoln Center, New York City’s Harvard Club and Victoria Hall in Geneva. Jiyoung is, currently, pursuing her doctoral degree at the New England Conservatory.

Korean violinist Hudson Chung, born in Jerusalem, began playing the violin at age 6. At age 12, he made his debut with the Jerusalem Symphony Orchestra. Israel’s fifth president, Itzhak Navon, became Hudson’s patron for his studies at the Jerusalem Academy of Music and Dance. Hudson has performed with a internationally renowned string orchestra and has won numerous awards. His studies included attending the Juilliard School and Yale School of Music and is, currently, studying at the New England Conservatory.
