Lucy Phillips, a Wellesley Neighbors member, will tell us about her March trip with a travel friend to Southern Spain. It was her 13th trip with Road Scholar, formerly Elderhostel. The group of 16 led by their very knowledgeable guide stayed a week at a beachside hotel and went to Malaga, especially the Picasso Museum, and to Granada, especially the Alhambra. They also ventured into the mountains to see small villages, a winery, and an olive oil factory. They visited local caves and a botanical garden as well. Flamenco dancers came to their hotel to perform. The weather and countryside were beautiful except for two hazy days caused by sand blown in from the Sahara Desert.
