Natick Days is a lively community event that brings together local organizations, families, children, and residents of all ages. It’s a great opportunity to introduce people to Wellesley Neighbors and let them know who we are and what we do.
We’ll also have a couple of fun activities at our table:
Museum of Things
We’ll display a collection of once-familiar objects that may be complete mysteries to younger generations: a rotary phone, VHS tape, floppy disk, cassette tape, old camera, and more. Visitors can try to identify the objects and guess what they were used for. It should be a fun way to get kids, parents, grandparents, and our WN volunteers talking across generations.
Guess How Many
We’ll have a big jar filled with candy and invite visitors to guess how many pieces are inside. The person with the closest guess wins the jar!
Volunteer at the WN Table
We’re looking for WN members to help staff our table, greet visitors, help with our activities, and talk informally about Wellesley Neighbors.
Volunteer shifts are just 90 minutes:
10:00–11:30 AM
11:30 AM–1:00 PM
1:00–2:30 PM
Joan will be there to set up and plan to staff the table throughout the day. We’ll have a canopy for shade and sun protection, 2 tables and 3 chairs,
and we’ve requested a shady spot.
Please sign up for the shift that works best for you. No special preparation is needed. Just come, have some fun, and help us introduce Wellesley Neighbors to the Natick community!
