Join Wellesley Neighbors for a special fall outing to Heritage Museums & Gardens in historic Sandwich, followed by a lunch at the Daniel Webster Inn.
Set on 100 acres, Heritage Museums & Gardens combines beautiful gardens and walking paths with fascinating collections of American history, art, and automobiles. We’ll have time to explore the grounds and this year’s special exhibitions, including:
From Carriage to Classic: How Automobiles Transformed America, featuring 26 automobiles tracing the evolution of the American car from the late 1800s through the 1960s.
Cranberries: From Cape Cod to American Icon, exploring the cranberry’s unique place in Cape Cod history, from its use by the Wampanoag people to the growth of the modern cranberry industry.
Remembering the Revolution, a special exhibition commemorating 250 years of American history, with objects and stories highlighting the Revolution’s impact on southeastern New England.
After our visit, we’ll make the short trip into the heart of Sandwich for a meal together at the historic Daniel Webster Inn, a Cape Cod landmark whose history stretches back more than 300 years.
