Located in the former Lumière Restaurant space, The Bluebird Bar is much more than a bar. It's a warm, friendly restaurant with the bar in the middle with booths on one side and high/low top tables on the other. We have reserved 12 seats at the low-top tables under the blue wall mural. We have also requested Phillip, who Judy and Jim dubbed "super waiter" as a result of top-notch service at our two recent jazz brunches, be our waiter.
The brunch menu is creative—from Challah French Toast to Chilaquiles Rojos, but also a regular breakfast plate with eggs and choice of meat. Brunch cocktails, beer, and wine are available.
The music is a jazz duet consisting of Rich Greenblatt, a Berklee professor, on vibraphone and an accompanist (saxophone, guitar, or piano). In conversations with Rich, he describes his jazz as "lyrical, melodic, and warm." In his many years with Berklee he has taught in-person and online courses as well as performed in jazz and blues festivals in the U.S. and Europe. Writes John Blenn in Good Times Magazine, "this Boston based jazz vibraphonist is a musician with dazzling speed and a truly magical touch."
