Scott Kerman talks about his book "The Duke" on Tuesday at 2 PM

About this event

Join Wellesley Neighbors at the Wellesley Free Library for an afternoon with author Scott Kerman as he discusses his book, The Duke: Weekly Conversations with the Last Honest Politician.

Over the course of four years, Kerman met regularly with former Massachusetts governor and 1988 presidential candidate Michael Dukakis at Dukakis's kitchen table in Brookline. Their conversations ranged from politics and public service to humor, personal stories, and reflections on character and leadership.

Rather than a traditional political biography, The Duke offers an intimate look at the friendship that developed through these weekly conversations.  Kerman will share stories from the book and discuss what he learned from one of Massachusett's most recognizable public figures.  Audience members will also have the opportunity to ask questions and join the conversation.

Expect a thoughtful, personal, and often humor glimpse into the man behind the public life.

All are welcome!  Bring a friend.
