Wednesday, March 18, at 1:30 PM
568 Main Street Hudson, MA
Registration/Cancellation Deadline: March 16
We have arranged for you an impressive, docent-led tour of the immense American Heritage Museum. It displays one of the world's largest private collections of tanks and armored vehicles, some of them so unique and rare that in North America they can only be seen here. Historic artifacts, aircraft, and automobiles add variety to the exhibits, which are arranged in chronological order from the Revolutionary War to the present. The holdings even include a section of the Berlin wall, a twisted steel beam from the World Trade Center (9/11), fighter planes, and a grim transport rail car from WWII as well as a SCUD missile and launcher and a walk-through simulation of a WWI trench on the Western Front. You'll gain a perspective on the evolution of warfare with tanks, armored vehicles, and planes that reflect advances in technology. American and European history can be explored and studied here in such a concrete way that participants, no doubt, will leave with a renewed sense of gratitude for the veterans who served in the wars and events that required their service.
