Yet another rollicking Gilbert and Sullivan operetta by the Sudbury Savoyards, the only venue in Massachusetts performing with full cast and full orchestra!!! It is 1750s Venice, and the ladies in town are all aflutter over two heartthrob gondoliers who plan to choose their brides. When Marco and Giuseppe propose to Gianetta and Tessa, the whole of Venice prepares to celebrate their weddings. Unbeknownst to all of them, a ducal Spanish family has just floated into town… WELL, you either know how wonderfully Gilbert and Sullivan weave their tales or will find out if this is your first (it will NOT be your last!) exposure to them. Giggle your way through this ridiculous saga of sparkling, lively song and dance. Drink in the warm Venetian sunshine and float away on a river of shimmering operatic comedy featuring full orchestra, stunning costumes, and striking sets.

We often go to dinner at The Lotus Blossom although we do not require registration, so join us if you would like. Great food.
