We visited this fascinating museum in 2023; and, by popular demand, we have arranged for a second visit. For those of you who did not attend our previous event, this will be an opportunity to get to know the 27 historic pianos dating from the late 1700s to 1928 on display. The collection belongs to Edmund and Patricia Frederick. They will be available to answer questions about the pianos as well as to provide information about the works famous composers created on them. Each piano's sound is unique to its particular era so it produces totally different tones from present day pianos. You will be able to observe the variations of sound; and if you would like to participate by physically playing the pianos, you will be encouraged to do so.
The tour will be broken up into two segments. The first will last approximately two hours, with a break for lunch, and the second segment will last one hour.
In order to preserve the pianos, the temperature in the museum will be cool, so please dress accordingly.
Lunch: For convenience and because of time constraints, we will have lunch at Brothers' Pizza and Grille, 48 Main Street, Ashburnham (across the street from the Museum).
