"27 Years of International Teaching"
Friday, January 17 at 5 PM
on Zoom*
Please join us to hear Connie talk about her teaching abroad in different countries and different continents. She writes: "I was lucky enough to “fall” into International school teaching in 1978 and kept at it for 27 years. Those years were full of adventures on every vacation in and outside the six countries where I taught: Indonesia, the Philippines, Taiwan, Singapore, Guatemala, and the Czech Republic. They ranged from walking between villages in New Guinea, to being under martial law in Manila, to seeing former East Germany through the lens of those who grew up there.
I am fond of a recent PBS travel show where the host quotes Mark Twain: 'Travel is fatal to prejudice, bigotry, and narrow-mindedness'."
