We are pleased to welcome Deverie Bongard to the Cocktail Hour. She will tell us about an all-volunteer organization called "Sew-N-Sew" formed by customers when The Button Box closed several years ago.  They  created  Sew-N-Sew Fiber Arts, Inc. to provide a space and an environment to promote the practice of fiber arts through monthly groups, classes, and demonstrations. In addition to working on their own projects, members are actively involved in outreach projects; in fact, they provide comfort quilts for dissemination through local charities, Teddy Bears for pediatric patients,  and “critter” beds for local animal shelters. Those of us who used to patronize The Button Box or used to sew, as well as those of us who just admire the handiwork of others, will learn from Deverie more about the creativity of present-day, like-minded sewing enthusiasts along with the charitable work they do for local communities.
