It has become a Wellesley Neighbors tradition to have a Thanksgiving lunch at the Wayside Inn, the oldest continuously operating Inn in the United States. This year, again, we will have our private room with a high ceiling and a three course meal (see menu). It is difficult to describe how wonderful the meal, the company, and the setting was last year. Please join us again, or anew, this year to celebrate the season and enjoy the warmth of good company and excellent food.
MENU:
First Course
Mixed Green Salad
You will be able to choose from the following menu at the luncheon
Yankee Pot Roast, braised beef with jardinière sauce
($26.95)
Oven Roasted Breast of Turkey, cornbread and sausage stuffing
($26.95)
Boston Baked Scrod, Lemon Butter Sauce
($27.95)
Seasonal Vegetable Ravioli
($26.95)
Dessert
Deep Dish Apple Pie with Whipped Cream
Coffee, Tea or Decaf
Meeting Point: At the top of the stairs
Cost: for a three-course meal with coffee, tea, or decaf (see menu) approximately $27 plus tax and tip, for a final cost of $35; drinks may be purchased at the [charming] bar. Cost of alcoholic beverages (and tips for them) to be paid at the bar.
Payment: Pay Catherine for the meal at the Inn. Cash or check.
Parking: Free parking in lots across the street or behind the Inn.
Other Information:
Car pools can be arranged.
After lunch, check out the craft-barn across the street or visit the grist mill down the road or the one-room schoolhouse across from it.
